The Cobblestone town of Villa De Leyva

A town so mystical I almost don’t want to taint it with words, Villa De Leyva was next on our journey. We checked into the Solar Hostel and went to a market. We rode horses to a fertility site of phallic objects, a fossil museum and a blue lagoon. We took a siesta and hiked to Jesus, who’s statue overlooked the town from a mountain.

We passed a military base to hike a cattle trail and then took a bus to Tunja.
